A House with a Story
In the heart of Budapest’s historic Palace District stands a building with soul and history. Built in 1910 for Kálmán Heyek and his wife, this three-story house was designed by architects Guido Höpfner and György Györgyi in the Art Nouveau (Secession) style. Though some of its original ornamentation has faded with time, elegant floral motifs still frame the windows of the upper floor.
One of the building’s most unique features is its inner ironwork structure—crafted by the Béla Fodor factory based on a design from the renowned Eiffel works. This rare blend of industrial design and decorative art gives the building its distinctive charm.
Recognized as a protected monument since 2012, the house at Krúdy Street 12 continues to captivate lovers of architecture. Today, it opens its doors to travelers from around the world, offering a stay where history and hospitality come together.

House Rules – Mustache Hostel
By using the accommodation, you acknowledge and accept the rules stated in the house regulations. Before using the accommodation, it is assumed that the guest has read, understood, and accepted the house rules.
In matters not regulated by the house rules, the relevant provisions of the Civil Code apply.

Check-in and Check-out
Check-in is possible at any time, but room occupancy is only allowed from 14:00.
For early arrivals or on the day of check-out, guests can store their luggage free of charge.
Check-out time is until 11:00.
Upon check-in, all guests are required to present a valid ID (for EU citizens) or passport (for non-EU citizens). Without identification, we cannot allow entry, and you will not be able to occupy your room.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellations can be made free of charge until the day before arrival. In case of cancellation on the day of arrival, the price of the first night will be charged.
Until the reservation is canceled, others cannot book the room/bed. Please notify us immediately if you are unable to come! This will help guests on the waiting list make timely bookings.
Cameras
The entrance area (entry zone) of the hostel is monitored by security cameras. By using the services of the hostel, all guests accept that security footage may be recorded for safety purposes.
Valuables
Finfort Kft. does not take responsibility for valuables left on the hostel premises.
Alcohol, Drugs
Our hostel cannot be visited by persons who are significantly intoxicated by alcohol, drugs, or any mind-altering substances. Guests should ensure their condition does not disrupt the comfort of others. Violating this rule will result in immediate expulsion without a refund of the accommodation fee.
Guests under the age of 18 are not allowed to consume alcoholic beverages inside the building.
Visitors
Visitors are not allowed inside the building unless granted special permission.

Guests agree to compensate Finfort Kft. for any damages caused and cover all additional costs related to damage compensation.
Smoking
Please do not smoke inside the hostel. Smoking is only allowed outside the building, on the street!
Noise
Please be considerate of other guests and keep noise to a minimum at all times.
Between 22:00 and 08:00, during rest hours, we ask that you refrain from any loud or disruptive activities (such as slamming doors) that could disturb others. Violation of this rule during these hours will result in immediate expulsion without a refund.
Outside of these hours, noise is generally allowed, but please remain mindful of the comfort of fellow guests.
